I would like to highlight one of my heartfelt projects to help hearing-impaired students learn remotely during the pandemic.

In 2020, when COVID-19 hit Thailand, students at the Setahsian School were unable to attend classes in person and had to transition all their learning online.

[ CHALLENGE ]

Traditional remote learning platforms such as Zoom, YouTube, or video-based messaging did not accommodate students with hearing disabilities in the same way as in-person learning. With the added layer of difficulty, regular remote learning platforms were insufficient for those students.

[ SOLUTION ]

Our team at Accenture recognized this pain point and aimed to address it in an effective and life-changing manner. We collaborated with parents and teachers of students at the school to redesign a unique remote learning app called Wellsign.

This app incorporated visuals and learning methodologies that allowed students with disabilities to utilize hand gestures and mimic their in-person interactions online. Our project was launched in 2021 and received recognition from the Ministry of Education in Thailand.
